Speaker & Trip Schedule

May 1-6, 2017

All field trips (except Birding by Butt) meet for a hot buffet breakfast at 6 a.m. in an outdoor pavilion at Burnwood (directions/maps will be provided to registrants). Field trip transportation departs by 7 a.m. Gold Standard and Carpool trips return by 2 p.m; Premium trips return by 4:30, and All-Day trips return by 5. Popcorn Presentations are at 3 p.m. and Dinners are at 6 p.m, served at the Meadows at Opossum Creek Retreat; Presentation immediately follows dinner.

Sunday, April 30

6 pm - Dinner FUNdraiser. Start the week together again, or for the first time, around a catered dinner in The Meadows at Opossum Creek Retreat featuring food, drinks, and great company for a contribution of $100 per person to the Fayette County Education Fund! Space is limited to 20 people.

Monday, May 1

Popcorn Presentations

Use your vacation with us to revitalize your mind and body; don't forget to take personal time to relax and unwind. Spend your afternoons as you please... napping, hot tubbing, walking, site seeing, etc. Afternoon down time is the perfect opportunity. Or for those who just can’t get enough, Popcorn Presentations are scheduled to take place at the Meadows at Opossum Creek Retreat around 3'ish and last about an hour – and yes... we serve popcorn!

Monday – Trip Leader Panel Discussion, Words with Bird Nerds. Who knows who we'll put in the hot seats, but we'll choose from Carman, Fallon, Garland, Hilton, McCormac, Rapp, and/or Strycker!
Tuesday – Your Hosts Rachel, Keith and Paul
Wednesday – Tom Stephenson and Scott Whittle
Thursday – Trip Leader Panel Discussion, Words with Bird Nerds Round II. We'll choose from Carman, Lizdas, Mccormac, Rapp, Strycker, and/or Thompson!
Friday – Dr. Bill Hilton, Jr.
